A team of American researchers has discovered that people with high intelligence often display behavioral patterns that differ from the general population. According to the study, highly intelligent individuals are more likely to be “night owls” and to live in cluttered environments.
Scientists note that messy rooms are typical for such individuals because they tend to focus on tasks they perceive as important, placing less priority on maintaining order.
The study also found that people with higher IQ scores tend to go to bed later. Researchers cite Winston Churchill, Charles Darwin, and Elvis Presley as historical examples of famous night owls. They argue that higher intelligence correlates with an increased likelihood of being most active during nighttime hours.
Another interesting finding is the tendency of highly intelligent individuals to use strong language. Researchers suggest that during moments of intense emotion, they choose direct expressions to convey their feelings rather than searching for softer wording.
Experts add that a richer vocabulary and more advanced verbal skills may further contribute to this tendency toward blunt and sometimes harsh speech.
